easy hike, paved 3 mile loop, 500 ft. elevation gain, scenic view of Riverside and Santa Ana River, dog park (Carlson Park) located at base, parking at dog park (west side of mountain) or street parking (east side of mountain)
- Santa Ana bike trail
easy hike, paved trail stretches at least 10 miles north and south of Riverside, follows the Santa Ana River, parking at Carlson Park
- Sycamore Canyon
moderate hike but some large elevation changes, 12 miles+ of dirt trails, ~ 1000 ft. elevation gain, abundant wildlife (including rattlesnakes), several microhabitats (including a creek), Scenic views of Riverside and Moreno Valley, mountain biking permitted, parking available in a lot off Central Ave.
